Role:

On behalf of a client, we are seeking an experienced professional for project management and architectural planning of demanding new build projects in an internationally oriented architectural environment. You will take responsibility for project organisation, tendering and execution planning as well as coordination of interdisciplinary planning teams across multiple project phases. The focus is on architectural quality, constructive detail development, cost, schedule and quality management, as well as digital planning methods using AutoCAD, Revit and BIM. The position offers the opportunity to independently manage complex building projects and actively shape sophisticated architecture from design to realisation.

Responsibilities:

• Project management and overall coordination of demanding new build and building projects from design through tendering to execution and handover

• Project control according to SIA phases with a focus on construction project, tendering, execution planning and support during realisation

• Technical leadership of internal architecture and project teams including task coordination, resource planning, schedule monitoring and quality assurance

• Coordination of interdisciplinary specialist planner teams with structural engineers, building services planners, building physicists, specialists and contractors

• Tendering and awarding management including preparation and review of specifications, tender documents, offer comparisons and award recommendations

• Execution and detailed planning with development of constructive solutions, checking technical interfaces and ensuring architectural design quality

• Cost, schedule and quality management including cost control, scheduling, project controlling and monitoring of agreed project goals

• Digital project processing with AutoCAD, Revit and BIM including CAD planning, building modelling and coordination of digital specialist planning models

• Client and authority coordination with leading project meetings, technical clarifications and alignment of building law requirements

• Building construction and materialisation with development of economical, technically feasible and architecturally high-quality execution solutions

• Interface management between planning and construction execution with coordination of plan approvals, handling technical execution questions and supporting site management

• Project controlling and documentation management including project status reports, plan reviews, pending issue management and structured administration of project documents

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture degree FH, ETH or university with solid knowledge in architectural planning and building construction

• At least 3 years of professional experience as a project manager in architecture in Switzerland with independent responsibility for demanding building projects

• Extensive experience in tendering and execution planning as well as handling architectural projects across several SIA phases

• In-depth knowledge of Swiss SIA standards, especially SIA 102 and SIA 118, as well as in construction contract law, cost management and technical project coordination

• Good user knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit as well as experience with BIM-based planning methods is an advantage

• Experience in technical leadership of project teams, coordination of external specialist planners and management of complex planning and execution processes

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for project management, technical documentation and coordination with clients, authorities and contractors
