An experienced individual is sought as Senior MES System Engineer for an innovative production environment. In this role, you take technical responsibility for a central manufacturing execution platform and accompany its entire lifecycle – from conception and implementation to stable operation and continuous development.
Particularly exciting is working on modern smart manufacturing and digital factory initiatives in a highly regulated environment. You will work closely with departments from production, IT/OT, automation, engineering and quality.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for design, configuration, implementation, validation, operation and optimisation of a PAS-X-based MES platform
Support of MES projects for new production facilities including planning, commissioning, qualification and go-live
Development of scalable MES architectures and implementation of requirements into functional and technical solutions
Integration of the MES with ERP, LIMS, historian, automation and other production systems
Ensuring availability, performance and reliability as well as handling changes, incidents and deviations
Creation and maintenance of GMP-compliant documentation as well as support during audits, validations and regulatory inspections
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, automation technology, information technology, pharmaceutical technology or a comparable technical field
4-6 years of practical experience with Körber PAS-X MES in a pharmaceutical or biotechnological production environment
Experience with MES implementations for new production sites, expansions or extensive digitalisation projects
Solid knowledge of MES/IT-OT architectures, system integration, smart manufacturing as well as infrastructure, networks and virtualisation
Experience with CSV/CSA, GAMP5, data integrity as well as regulatory requirements such as Annex 11 and 21 CFR Part 11
Very good English skills, German skills advantageous, as well as strong communication, analysis and problem-solving skills
