Design Architect (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF100,000 - 105,000Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional for design architecture, project development, and execution planning of demanding residential and commercial construction projects in a versatile architectural environment. You will develop architecturally convincing and economically viable construction concepts and accompany projects from the initial feasibility study through the approval planning to the structural implementation. The focus is on independent design planning, building law clarifications, CAD and 3D planning with ArchiCAD 29, as well as coordination of authorities, specialist planners, and other project participants. The position offers diverse construction projects, short decision-making paths, and the opportunity to significantly shape the architectural quality and economic development of real estate with many years of experience.
Responsibilities:
Independent development of demanding architectural designs for new construction, conversion, and renovation projects in residential and commercial construction
Project processing according to SIA phases from feasibility study and preliminary design through construction project to approval and execution planning
Creation and evaluation of feasibility studies with examination of development potentials, usage concepts, site conditions, and economic framework conditions
Architectural concept and variant development with elaboration of building volumes, floor plan solutions, access concepts, and design approaches
Economic optimisation of real estate projects with assessment of space efficiency, construction costs, materialisation, and long-term usage quality
CAD and 3D-supported architectural planning with ArchiCAD 29 including creation of floor plans, sections, facades, and digital building models
Building application and approval planning with preparation of submission documents, examination of building law requirements, and independent coordination with authorities
Working and execution planning with development of technically feasible construction solutions, component connections, and architectural execution details
Coordination of interdisciplinary specialist planners with coordination of structural planning, building services, building physics, and other project-relevant specialist areas
Project organisation and schedule control with structuring of planning processes, monitoring of milestones, and coordination of internal project tasks
Cost planning and construction administration with participation in cost estimates, tenders, and economic project evaluations using BauPlus
Quality assurance and technical project support with control of planning documents, examination of constructive solutions, and support in the implementation of architectural specifications
Qualifications:
Completed architecture studies at FH or ETH or a comparable recognised university education
At least six years of professional experience in Switzerland with proven expertise in design architecture and practical experience in execution planning
Sound knowledge in architectural design, building construction, and real estate development as well as experience in the economic assessment of residential and commercial construction projects
Very good user knowledge of ArchiCAD 29 and 3D building modelling as well as confident handling of Microsoft Office
Experience with BauPlus for construction administration, cost planning, or project-related evaluations
In-depth knowledge of Swiss SIA standards and Zurich building law as well as proven experience in approval procedures and independent negotiations with authorities
Negotiation-secure German language skills in spoken and written form for contacts with authorities, client consulting, technical documentation, and interdisciplinary project coordination
