Database Platform Engineer (m/f/d)

You develop and operate our central database platforms and ensure their performance, availability and security.
You manage highly available SQL environments, analyse performance issues and take care of upgrades, backup and disaster recovery.
You implement technical projects around migrations, lifecycle, cloud databases and the modernisation of our platforms.
You support development and application management with database architectures, interfaces and technical operational questions.
You automate recurring tasks with T-SQL and PowerShell and work closely with internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications:
You have completed higher education or a degree in computer science, systems engineering or a comparable field.
You bring solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Always On as well as with performance tuning and high availability.
You are familiar with T-SQL, PowerShell and ideally Azure SQL Database or Managed Instances.
You have an interest in other database technologies such as Oracle or MariaDB as well as modern integration technologies like Kafka.
You work independently, solution-oriented and enjoy working in a team, and communicate very well in German and well in English.
