In this role, as a Senior System Engineer, you help design a modern Microsoft on-premises platform and a powerful Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment. You take on technical responsibility from architecture through clean standardisation and automation to stable regular operation. You lead projects from conception to implementation, analyse complex faults in 2nd and 3rd level support, and ensure high service quality. Together with the Network and Security departments, you drive topics forward sustainably, actively shape standards, and continuously develop the platform. With your solid expertise, you take on a key role in the IT service environment and share your knowledge with the team.
Responsibilities:
- You design, implement, and further develop sophisticated Microsoft on-premises solutions
- In this role, you operate and optimise the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops platform including ADC throughout the entire lifecycle
- As a Senior System Engineer Microsoft Citrix, you lead technical projects from migration through modernisation to going live
- You analyse complex faults in 2nd and 3rd level and resolve them sustainably
- In this role, you drive automation and standardisation with PowerShell and configuration management
- You define and document standards, solutions, and operational processes
Qualifications:
- You have completed an IT apprenticeship EFZ or a comparable qualification; further education at HF or FH level is advantageous
- You have several years of experience as a System Engineer in Microsoft on-premises environments with very good knowledge of Windows domain infrastructure, servers, and Active Directory
- You bring solid experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops as well as ADC and ideally have contact with PowerShell and configuration management
- You have experience in identity and privileged access management (IAM and PAM) as well as with ITIL processes such as incident, problem, and change
- You convince in customer contact with a strong service orientation, high independence and personal responsibility, and an impeccable reputation
- You are prepared for a security check with a criminal record extract and communicate in German at native or negotiation level; English is an advantage
