Microsoft Security Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
Cyber security begins with a well-thought-out architecture and ends with a consistently monitored IT landscape. As a Microsoft Security Engineer, you develop modern protection concepts, identify security risks early, and ensure a resilient cloud and corporate infrastructure. An exciting role for security specialists who combine technical depth with strategic thinking.
Responsibilities:
Planning, implementation, and further development of holistic security solutions in the Microsoft environment
Securing Microsoft 365, Azure, and hybrid IT infrastructures
Design and implementation of identity and access management strategies with Microsoft Entra ID
Management and optimisation of security policies, conditional access, and multi-factor authentication
Deployment and further development of Microsoft Defender XDR to detect and defend against cyber threats
Analysis of security incidents and coordination of appropriate incident response measures
Establishment and optimisation of security monitoring and threat detection with Microsoft Sentinel
Conducting vulnerability analyses and assessing technical risks
Implementation of zero-trust principles and modern security-by-design approaches
Automation of recurring security processes and improvement of security standards
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in IT security, cyber security, or security engineering
Solid knowledge of Microsoft security platforms and cloud technologies
Practical experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Entra ID
Good understanding of identity security, network segmentation, and access controls
Experience with Azure Security, Microsoft 365 Security, and hybrid environments
Knowledge of PowerShell and ideally automation of security processes
Familiarity with frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls
Analytical skills and a structured approach to handling security incidents
Initiative, responsibility, and interest in current threat scenarios
