Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Project Engineer / Construction Project Manager for the planning and realisation of diverse construction projects at an established Swiss production site. You will be responsible for maintenance, renovation, conversion, and new construction projects from needs definition through planning, tendering, awarding, to realisation and commissioning. In doing so, you coordinate external architects, engineering offices, and companies and ensure costs, deadlines, quality, and occupational safety in a demanding industrial operational environment. Additionally, you develop sustainable renovation and maintenance concepts for existing buildings and infrastructures based on condition analyses.
Responsibilities:
Independent management of construction, conversion, renovation, and maintenance projects from needs definition to commissioning
Client-side control of projects within an industrial production and operational environment
Development of project foundations, project budgets, cost estimates, and scheduling programmes
Planning and execution of tendering, submissions, and awarding for construction and maintenance services
Leadership and coordination of external architects, civil engineers, specialist planners, and executing companies
Conducting condition analyses on buildings and structural facilities as well as developing renovation and maintenance concepts
Organisation and support of conversions, renovations, maintenance measures, and smaller new construction projects
Responsibility for cost, schedule, quality, and project controlling during planning and realisation
Supervision of construction execution through site inspections, quality controls, acceptance, and defect management
Review of offers, change orders, measurements, and contractor invoices as well as monitoring the project budget
Coordination with internal operational units, authorities, planning offices, and companies during ongoing production
Ensuring compliance with occupational safety, legal construction regulations, quality standards, and internal compliance requirements
Qualifications:
Degree as Civil Engineer FH/ETH, Architect FH/ETH, Technician HF in Construction Planning/Management or comparable construction-technical qualification
Several years of professional experience in project management and realisation of construction, conversion, or renovation projects
Sound knowledge in construction management, tendering, awarding, cost management, and construction execution
Experience with existing buildings and maintenance projects, ideally in an industrial or production environment
Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards, Swiss construction regulations, and occupational safety requirements
Confident use of Microsoft 365; knowledge of CAD or project management software is an advantage
Very good German language skills; English skills are an advantage for the international corporate environment
