Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for an experienced and design-strong personality to independently lead and develop demanding architectural projects. You will take responsibility from the initial design idea through project planning and detailed studies to the building permit process and competently accompany clients through the relevant planning phases. The focus is on developing architecturally high-quality and sustainable solutions, interdisciplinary project coordination, and leading internal planning teams. The position combines creative design competence, sound technical understanding, and entrepreneurial project management with the opportunity to actively shape the creative and professional development of an architectural team.

Responsibilities:

• Independent leadership and handling of demanding architectural projects from design development through project planning to preparation and execution of the building permit process

• Development and further processing of architectural design concepts considering aesthetic, functional, constructive, and economic requirements

• Preparation of preliminary projects, construction projects, and in-depth detailed studies to ensure high-quality and technically feasible architecture

• Responsibility for project organisation and management of relevant SIA service phases including task planning, resource coordination, and monitoring of project goals

• Professional support and advice to clients as the central contact person for architectural, technical, and organisational issues

• Coordination and leadership of external specialist planners and experts from structural engineering, building services, building physics, and other disciplines

• Preparation, creation, and coordination of building application and approval documents as well as accompanying the necessary official consultations

• Ensuring compliance with project deadlines, planning costs, and architectural quality requirements through proactive and structured project management

• Professional leadership, guidance, and support of internal staff as well as promotion of independent and quality-oriented project work

• Creation and coordination of digital architectural models and planning documents with ArchiCAD for the development, review, and communication of project solutions

• Coordination with authorities, contractors, and other project participants to clarify building law, constructive, and project-specific requirements at an early stage

• Active participation in the further development of internal planning processes and professional collaboration as well as contributing innovative ideas for sustainable architectural projects

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH or FH or a comparable recognised higher education qualification in architecture

• Several years of professional experience in project planning and independent management of architectural projects with solid practice in design, construction projects, detailed studies, and building permit procedures

• Very good knowledge of Swiss planning and construction processes, especially the SIA service phases, relevant SIA standards, and cantonal or municipal building permit procedures

• Confident handling of ArchiCAD as well as experience in digital architectural planning, 3D modelling, and creation of high-quality project planning and building application documents

• Strong architectural and constructive understanding as well as enthusiasm for developing innovative, sustainable, and economically feasible architectural concepts

• Independent, structured, and responsible working style with high initiative, organisational strength, quality awareness, and experience in professional leadership of employees

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as communication skills, teamwork, and a confident, reliable manner in dealing with clients, authorities, specialist planners, and other project participants
