Project Manager Heating (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional for project management and planning of heating systems, district heating networks, and energy-efficient building technology solutions in a specialised Swiss engineering environment. You will take responsibility for heating and energy projects from conception through sizing and technical planning to realisation and commissioning. The focus is on the technical design of heat generation and heat distribution systems, project coordination, cost and schedule control, as well as advising building owners and clients. The position combines independent project responsibility with the development of sustainable heat supply systems and modern energy infrastructures.

Responsibilities:

• Independent project management and technical handling of heating and district heating projects across all relevant SIA planning phases

• Conception, planning, and sizing of heating systems, heat generation systems, and heat distribution networks for new builds and renovations

• Project planning of district heating systems and district heating networks including heat plants, transfer stations, and hydraulic integration

• Creation of energy concepts, variant studies, and technical feasibility analyses considering economic efficiency and energy efficiency

• Execution of heating load calculations, hydraulic calculations, and sizing of pipes, pumps, heat exchangers, and system components

• Preparation of preliminary project, construction project, tender, and execution documents including technical reports, calculations, and system schematics

• Support of senior project management in handling complex energy and heat supply projects

• Coordination with building owners, authorities, specialist planners, energy suppliers, and contractors as well as participation in project and coordination meetings

• Preparation of cost estimates, quotations, and tender documents including offer comparisons and award preparations

• Monitoring of project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements as well as ongoing project controlling

• Technical supervision of execution including installation inspections, specialist site management, and verification of technical implementation

• Support during functional tests, commissioning, and system acceptance as well as preparation of required project and revision documentation

Qualifications:

• Completed studies as a building services engineer FH specialising in HVAC or training as a technician HF building services heating or comparable professional qualification

• Several years of professional experience in project management and technical planning of heating and energy systems in the Swiss building services market

• Sound knowledge in heating planning, heat generation, hydraulic sizing, and energy-efficient heat supply

• Experience in the conception and planning of district heating systems, district heating networks, or energy centres is an advantage

• Knowledge of relevant Swiss SIA standards, energy laws, and technical building services guidelines

• Confident handling of CAD and HVAC planning software, technical calculation programmes, and Microsoft Office

• Good German language skills in spoken and written form for technical reports, project documents, and collaboration with clients
