Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)
Our partner is an established IT service company in the field of Managed Cloud & Outsourcing Services. They operate several hundred servers in their own data centres and have state-of-the-art IT service solutions in the areas of storage, backup, networking, archiving, security, etc.
The implementation of IT projects with subsequent operation and maintenance requires profound expertise, extensive experience, process mastery, creativity, and absolute reliability. The demanding clientele of our partner expects innovative IT services and solutions with the highest availability and security.
Role:
You bring solid IT know-how and want to technically shape demanding customer environments? In this position, you are responsible for the reliable operation of various IT system landscapes and ensure that technical challenges are solved efficiently and sustainably. In addition to daily support, you help shape the further development of the infrastructure, optimise operational processes, and explore new possibilities through modern technologies and intelligent automation.
Responsibilities:
Technical support of various customer environments and ensuring reliable IT operations including coordination of technical concerns.
Independent handling of complex incidents, service requests, and system changes as well as conducting detailed root cause analyses.
Administration, maintenance, and optimisation of Microsoft 365, Azure, and other components of modern IT infrastructures.
Development of efficient operational processes through scripting, technical standardisation, and the use of AI-supported tools.
Implementation of infrastructure projects, integration of new IT services, and personal support of customers on-site with technical queries.
Qualifications:
Completed IT training EFZ, preferably with a focus on system technology or platform development.
Several years of practical experience in supporting and further developing IT system landscapes in the field of system engineering or IT operations.
Very good technical knowledge in the Microsoft environment, especially Microsoft 365 and Azure, as well as strong skills in fault diagnosis.
Basic knowledge in automation, scripting, and optimisation of technical processes; interest in innovative solutions and artificial intelligence.
Responsible and solution-oriented personality with pronounced service orientation, confident communication, very good German skills, good English skills, and a category B driving licence.
