As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner, F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. in Basel and Kaiseraugst, we are immediately seeking a motivated and committed Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technologist for a temporary assignment of 1 year, with the option of extension.
The "CoRE" department (Compounding, Raw Material, Equipment) is part of the Manufacturing Unit "Sterile Filling" at the Kaiseraugst production centre. Various solutions for liquid pharmaceutical forms are produced in the CoRE department. In addition, freeze-and-thaw activities as well as stopper and equipment treatment take place in the department.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Freeze & Thaw: Operation and monitoring of specialised F/T systems for controlled thawing and freezing of APIs.
- Compounding: Carrying out weighing, preparation and mixing processes for further processing of thawed APIs and excipients into finished pharmaceutical solutions.
- Equipment & Stopper Treatment: Preparation, cleaning, sterilisation of primary packaging materials and production equipment in cleanroom classes D and C.
- Process Execution: Precise implementation of manufacturing instructions (MES) according to cGMP guidelines.
- Process Monitoring: Sampling, monitoring of process parameters and documentation of deviations.
- Cleanroom & Equipment Hygiene: CIP/SIP processes, manual cleaning and strict adherence to hygiene guidelines.
Must Haves:
- Completed training as a Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technologist, Pharmakant or similar. (*****)
- High quality and regulatory awareness; precise working according to SOPs.
- Experience in pharmaceutical production, ideally compounding. (*****)
- Routine in cleanroom classes D and C.
- Confident handling of electronic manufacturing documentation systems (MES).
- Willingness to work shifts.
- Very good German skills B2 in spoken and written form (*****)
