Our client supports companies in planning, operating, and further developing complex IT infrastructures. The focus is on modern virtualisation platforms, secure cloud architectures, and powerful datacentre solutions tailored to the individual requirements of customers. As a senior engineer, you combine deep technical expertise with project responsibility and consulting. You analyse existing environments, develop future-proof solutions, and accompany demanding migrations. In addition, you provide professional support to colleagues and introduce new technologies into the further development of infrastructure services.
Responsibilities:
Independent implementation and coordination of complex infrastructure projects with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Omnissa Horizon, and Azure
Development of virtualisation and cloud concepts considering security, high availability, and operational reliability
Integration of backup, storage, and hyper-converged infrastructure solutions into existing customer environments
Consulting and technical support of customers during cloud transformations and datacentre modernisations
Professional support in technical workshops, solution development, quotations, and presentations
Promotion of internal knowledge transfer as well as participation in the standardisation and optimisation of technical services
Qualifications:
Completed training in computer science, supplemented by further education at HF/FH level or an equivalent qualification
Several years of experience in supporting and further developing demanding virtualisation and backup environments
Proven project and migration experience in complex IT landscapes
Certifications in the VMware and/or Microsoft environment, for example MS-102 or AZ-104
Solid knowledge of network, backup, and storage technologies
Enjoyment of customer consulting as well as interest in current developments in cloud and virtualisation
Analytical, independent, and solution-oriented working style with a high degree of personal responsibility
Very good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as good English skills
