Linux System Specialist (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:
Operate, maintain, and further develop Linux-based systems as well as storage
Life-cycle management and operation of GitLab instances with CI/CD runners, registry, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes
Integrate and operate open source solutions for additional services
This position is ideally suited to simultaneously complete an MSE master’s degree with us
Qualifications:
A completed education in the field of IT/informatics as well as professional experience in this field are mandatory
University degree in ICT, computer science, engineering, or a comparable education with appropriate further training
Many years of experience in system administration (especially Linux) and DevOps (e.g. Docker, KVM, Kubernetes)
Good knowledge in automating system setups, e.g. with Ansible
Solid knowledge of GitLab, registry, Traefik
Experience with Linux iptables/nftables firewalls, Linux containers, SSH, and the CLI
Knowledge in using REST and GitLab APIs with Python or similar technologies
You work well in a team and are customer-oriented, especially in an academic environment
German language skills are mandatory
