Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional as a Project Manager: Architecture / Building Construction for an established architectural firm specialising in demanding building construction projects and sustainable architecture. You will independently manage medium-sized building construction projects and be responsible for their technical, economic and organisational implementation within defined budget, schedule and quality requirements. The focus is on project management, internal project administration, quality assurance as well as digital planning with Revit and CAD. The position combines architectural project responsibility, economic construction management and interdisciplinary collaboration with diverse development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Independent management of medium-sized building construction projects through the relevant SIA phases while adhering to agreed cost, schedule and quality targets

• Taking over internal project administration including resource planning, team allocation, project organisation and budget responsibility

• Controlling and monitoring project budgets including cost planning, cost control, forecasts and early identification of economic deviations

• Schedule and milestone management with creation and monitoring of project schedules as well as coordination of all planning participants

• Quality assurance in architectural planning including checking planning documents, constructive details and project-specific building qualities

• Preparation and evaluation of feasibility studies including variant analyses, building law clarifications and economic assessments

• Technical, economic and organisational construction consulting for clients during project development, planning and realisation

• Coordination of interdisciplinary project teams with architecture, structural engineering, building services, specialist planners and external experts

• Project-related risk management including identification, assessment and control of technical, scheduling and financial project risks

• Coordination and quality assurance of digital planning processes with Autodesk Revit, CAD and BIM-oriented working methods

• Support of tendering, awarding and execution processes in coordination with construction management, specialist planners and executing companies

• Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, cantonal building regulations as well as project-specific requirements for sustainability and building quality

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH or FH or equivalent recognised training in architecture and building construction

• At least three years of professional experience in managing medium-sized building construction projects with responsibility for costs, schedules and quality

• Solid experience in the Swiss construction industry as well as knowledge of SIA phases, construction processes and relevant building regulations

• Very good user knowledge of Autodesk Revit and CAD, ideally complemented by experience with BIM-based planning processes

• Experience in internal project management, especially budgeting, resource planning, quality assurance and risk management

• Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written, for communication with project participants
