About the job
For our client, an internationally active Swiss industrial company, we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer. In this versatile position, you will develop customised assemblies, optimise existing products, and accompany projects from design to production. You will work closely with internal specialist departments as well as international production sites.
- Creation of manufacturing drawings, detailed designs, and complete technical documentation
- Maintenance and management of bills of materials, article master data, and technical data in the CAD, PDM, and ERP environment
- Further development and standardisation of existing products and assemblies in terms of function, quality, and manufacturability
- Processing of technical changes and support in service and spare parts projects
- Close cooperation with production, purchasing, project management, and external suppliers to ensure efficient project execution
- Further training as a technician HF is an advantage
- Professional experience in design in classical mechanical or plant engineering
- Very good CAD skills
- Experience in manufacturing-oriented design of sheet metal, welding, and mechanical assemblies
- Knowledge of PDM/PLM and ERP systems is an advantage
- Technical understanding of production processes and industrial manufacturing
- Structured, independent, and quality-conscious working style
- Fluent German skills, additional language skills are an advantage

Profile
- Completed training as a draftsman EFZ, technical product designer, or polymechanic EFZ- Further training as a technician HF is an advantage
