What you can contribute
- Take responsibility for the assessment and financing of rehabilitation projects concerning fish migration in various cantons of French-speaking Switzerland
- Support and advise different cantons of French-speaking Switzerland (and other stakeholders) in the field of fish migration
- Act as a specialist and contact person for technical questions related to the rehabilitation of obstacles to fish migration (e.g. dams,
- Lead the development and advancement of foundational documents concerning the planning, implementation and evaluation of measures related to longitudinal connectivity and the rehabilitation of hydropower structures
- Ensure coordination at the federal level for the implementation of the National Action Plan in favour of the Doubs in the areas of hydropower rehabilitation, fishing and
- water protection
What makes you unique
- Higher education degree in aquatic ecology (biology, environmental sciences or engineering) or a degree in hydraulic engineering with good knowledge in the fields of aquatic ecology and/or fishing
- Experience in aquatic ecology (planning, monitoring or project implementation), ideally in ecological hydropower rehabilitation
- Experience and interest in research, development and evaluation of rehabilitation measures in the field of fish migration
- Experience in scientific environments, administration or consultancy as well as in project management
- Autonomous, goal-oriented and solution-focused working method, strong communication skills and team spirit
- Very good command of French and good active knowledge of German
