Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional as a Project Manager Building Technology HVAC for the technical and commercial management of demanding building technology projects in an established Swiss company. You will take responsibility for heating, ventilation and cooling systems in new builds, conversions and renovations and accompany the projects from concept development to successful commissioning. The focus is on developing energy-efficient building technology solutions, project calculation, cost and schedule management as well as coordination of construction execution. The position combines technical project responsibility with change order management, customer consulting and sustainable energy concepts.
Responsibilities:
HVAC project management: Independent technical and commercial leadership of demanding heating, ventilation and cooling projects from tendering to final billing.
Energy and system concepts: Development and implementation of energy-efficient HVAC concepts, heat pump systems, ventilation systems and cooling solutions.
Project calculation and budget responsibility: Preparation and monitoring of project budgets, cost calculations, profitability analyses and project accounting.
Change order and contract management: Handling of scope changes, change order offers, time and material work, contracts and final accounts.
Schedule and resource planning: Coordination of installation schedules, personnel deployment, material procurement and project milestones.
Site and installation coordination: Leadership and supervision of HVAC installations, assembly work and technical execution on site.
Technical project planning: Review and coordination of system schematics, execution plans, hydraulic concepts and technical calculations.
Customer and supplier coordination: Technical coordination with clients, architects, specialist planners, suppliers and subcontractors.
Quality assurance and standards: Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, SWKI guidelines, energy requirements and technical quality standards.
Commissioning and acceptance: Organisation and support of functional tests, commissioning, system optimisations, acceptance and handover.
Digital project management: Use of ERP systems, digital project management tools and MS Office to control costs, schedules and project documentation.
Qualifications:
Completed basic training as a heating installer EFZ, building technology planner heating EFZ or ventilation system builder EFZ or comparable building technology training.
Further education as a certified technician HF building technology, building technology engineer FH or comparable higher technical education is an advantage.
Several years of professional experience in project management of HVAC systems, preferably in the Swiss new build, conversion or renovation sector.
Solid expertise in heating, ventilation and cooling technology, especially system design, energy efficiency and technical execution.
Experience in project calculation, cost controlling, change order management, scheduling and construction coordination.
Knowledge of relevant SIA standards, SWKI guidelines and Swiss energy requirements as well as confident use of MS Office and digital project management systems.
Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for technical documentation, project meetings and customer negotiations.
