Role:

In this versatile role, you are responsible for a defined product range, further develop international supplier relationships, and simultaneously coordinate relevant manufacturing and assembly processes with external partners. You take on a great deal of personal responsibility and actively shape purchasing, procurement, and planning processes.

You can expect a varied position with short decision-making paths, flexible working conditions including the possibility of home office, as well as development prospects in purchasing and production planning.

Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for the operational and strategic procurement of a defined technical range

• Ensuring product availability considering stock levels, requirements, and budget guidelines

• Building, maintaining, and strategically developing international supplier relationships, especially in the Asian procurement market

• Conducting price, terms, and annual negotiations with manufacturers and suppliers

• Analysing procurement markets and identifying new products, suppliers, and assortment potentials

• Planning and coordinating manufacturing, assembly, and packaging orders with external production partners

• Ensuring quality, delivery reliability, and efficient procurement and production processes

• Handling quality deviations and ensuring relevant standards and certification requirements

• Close collaboration with logistics, product management, quality assurance, and other internal interfaces

• Ensuring high master and purchasing data quality in the ERP system

• Active participation in the further development and optimisation of purchasing and planning processes

Qualifications:

• Completed commercial or technical basic training with further education in purchasing, for example as a purchasing specialist with a federal certificate

• Several years of professional experience in operational and strategic purchasing, ideally in a technical or industrial environment

• Experience in international supplier management and collaboration with global procurement markets

• Good knowledge of demand planning, inventory control, and coordination of external production partners

• Strong negotiation skills as well as good commercial and technical understanding

• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style with a high degree of personal responsibility

• Confident handling of ERP systems and a strong understanding of data and process quality

• Communicative personality with enthusiasm for cross-departmental collaboration

• Fluent German skills as well as business fluent English skills
