About the job
This is what the daily professional routine looks like
- Rotation through the various joint teams (hand surgery, shoulder-elbow, spine, foot and ankle, knee and sports orthopaedics, hip pelvis tumours infections, traumatology)
- Learning to interact with patients and their relatives in these specialised joint teams
- Taking medical histories, status and local status
- Conducting examinations and investigations
- Acquiring manual skills such as wound care, drainage pull
- Assisting in surgery and performing minor surgical procedures under supervision
- Administrative tasks such as writing medical records and reports, case presentations at briefings and ward rounds
- Active participation in outpatient clinics with assessment and presentation of patients
- Opportunity for own training of orthopaedic-traumatological skills in our Surgical Skills and Training Lab (e.g. arthroscopy simulator, saw workshops)
