Project Manager HVAC (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional for the independent planning and project management of demanding ventilation and HVAC projects. You will develop energy-efficient, economical, and technically convincing building services engineering solutions and accompany construction projects from the initial concept idea through detailed planning to successful commissioning. The focus is on technical project planning, site supervision, and coordination of clients, architects, specialist planners, and contractors. The position combines sound expertise in ventilation technology, digital planning skills, and independent project management with the professional guidance and development of younger employees.

Responsibilities:

• Independent planning and project management of demanding ventilation and HVAC projects in new construction, renovation, and refurbishment

• Responsibility for project planning across all relevant SIA service phases from concept development and preliminary design to detailed planning and realisation

• Development of technical concepts and economical system solutions for energy-efficient ventilation and air conditioning systems

• Dimensioning and design of ventilation systems and HVAC components including air volume calculations, duct network dimensioning, and selection of suitable system technology

• Creation and coordination of project, execution, and detail plans as well as technical schematics, preferably with Plancal Nova

• Preparation of tender documents, specifications, and technical documentation for the awarding and realisation of building services systems

• Coordination of HVAC planning with architecture, structural engineering, electrical planning, and other disciplines to ensure integrated building services planning

• Assumption of site supervision including control of installation work regarding technical specifications, execution quality, and project objectives

• Management and monitoring of project schedules, planning costs, and quality requirements as well as early detection and handling of technical deviations

• Organisation and leadership of project, planning, and construction meetings as well as coordination with clients, contractors, and other project participants

• Support of tenders, contractor awards, functional tests, acceptance, and commissioning including review of technical system documentation

• Professional leadership and coordination of internal project teams as well as support and mentoring of younger employees in technical project work

Qualifications:

• Completed higher technical education or university degree in building services engineering, for example as a certified technician HF in building services engineering or building services engineer FH, preferably with a focus on ventilation and air conditioning

• Several years of professional experience in independent ventilation planning and site supervision of demanding HVAC projects in the Swiss construction environment

• Sound knowledge in dimensioning and project planning of ventilation and air conditioning systems as well as in the creation of schematics, tenders, and technical execution documents

• Good CAD skills, preferably with Plancal Nova, as well as confident use of digital planning, calculation, and documentation tools

• Knowledge of relevant Swiss SIA standards and SWKI guidelines, especially in the areas of ventilation, indoor climate, and energy efficiency, as well as experience with common planning and realisation processes

• Experience in coordinating and professionally leading project teams as well as an independent, structured, responsible, and solution-oriented working style

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for project management and client communication as well as confident appearance, flexibility, reliability, and strong team spirit
