Role:

Good infrastructure only becomes noticeable when it is missing. To ensure this never happens, as an Infrastructure Operations Engineer (DevOps), you connect operations, engineering, and automation into a seamless whole. You manage local data centres and cloud resources through versioned code and reusable modules. You consistently replace recurring manual work with clean pipelines. In this way, you actively shape the technical direction of the platform.

Responsibilities:

• You develop reusable Terraform modules and standardise the deployment of compute, storage, network, and cloud resources.

• You administer Linux and Windows servers, virtualisation, and container platforms, making them fit for automated deployment processes.

• Furthermore, you design pipelines for changes, updates, and new infrastructure, embedding hardening specifications directly within them.

• You analyse complex incidents across layers, from the network level to the cloud.

• Additionally, you automate the monitoring of central services and expand logging and alerting in a targeted manner.

• You also plan platform upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle projects, continuously improving stability and performance.

Qualifications:

• You have at least 3 years of solid experience in infrastructure engineering or a DevOps environment.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is your tool of choice, and you have practical experience with configuration management such as Ansible.

• Scripting comes easily to you, whether in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Git workflows with branching are standard for you.

• You feel at home in Windows Server or Linux. Additionally, you have practical knowledge of virtualisation or a public cloud.

• You also have good knowledge of Docker, ideally complemented by Kubernetes, as well as a solid understanding of network topics such as DNS, routing, load balancing, and firewalls.

• Moreover, you bring experience with CI/CD systems and understand concepts of high availability, backup, recovery, and security in infrastructure operations.
