Role:
Good infrastructure is not only stable; it is reproducible from code. As a DevOps Engineer Infrastructure, you design a hybrid landscape of on-premise and cloud environments. You consistently drive their automation forward. With Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and well-thought-out pipelines, you make deployments faster and safer. In doing so, you connect operations and engineering and take real responsibility for central services.
Responsibilities:
You optimise Linux and Windows servers as well as virtualisation and container platforms for greater stability, performance, and scalability.
You independently develop reusable Terraform modules and standardised deployments for server, network, storage, and cloud resources.
You build CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes and updates and automate configurations with PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
Furthermore, you develop monitoring, logging, and alerting and implement security and hardening requirements directly in code.
In complex incidents, you analyse the causes across all infrastructure layers.
You also plan and implement migrations, platform upgrades, and lifecycle measures.
Qualifications:
You have at least 3 years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering and know Linux and/or Windows Server very well.
Solid practical experience with Infrastructure as Code and Terraform as well as with configuration management such as Ansible distinguishes you.
You confidently use Git, branching, and automated deployment pipelines. Scripting in Bash, Python, or PowerShell comes easily to you.
Additionally, you have good knowledge of Docker and ideally Kubernetes. You also bring experience with virtualisation or public cloud.
You understand network topics such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancing, and firewalling.
You are also familiar with monitoring as well as security, backup, high availability, and recovery concepts.
