In the Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy (Clinic Director Dr med Angelo Bernardon), children and adolescents up to the age of 18 are treated. The integrated treatment offer of the clinic includes an outpatient area with a central outpatient clinic as well as four outpatient clinics distributed across the canton, a consultation and liaison service, and an inpatient area with an acute ward, two psychotherapy wards, a day clinic, and a clinic school. The teams consist of clinical professionals from the fields of medicine, psychology, nursing, and social pedagogy, and in the clinic school, teachers and special needs educators. The Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy is a teaching hospital of the University of Zurich and a certified training centre Category A.
Profile
- You hold a Swiss medical diploma or an equivalent medical degree recognised by MEBEKO
- Ideally, you have prior experience in child and adolescent psychiatry, psychiatry, or paediatrics
- You possess good clinical skills, interpersonal abilities, analytical thinking, as well as good oral and written German language skills
- You demonstrate resilience and initiative in clinical practice and have good manners and a sense of humour
Responsibilities
- You work in multiprofessional teams in inpatient, day patient, outpatient, or consultation and liaison areas
- Under qualified supervision, you learn to independently assess and treat patients with all child and adolescent psychiatric disorders
- You acquire child and adolescent psychiatric diagnostics and essential psychological testing methods and conduct psychoeducation, psychopharmacological adjustments, counselling, and psychotherapy under supervisory guidance and specialist medical final responsibility
- You make diagnoses and assessments according to the valid diagnostic schema and develop guideline-compliant treatment plans based on these
- You participate in the clinic’s emergency on-call services
- You prepare the necessary treatment documentation and medical reports and fully bill the services provided
