Role:

Modern cloud platforms are not created by clicks in a portal but through clean architecture and consistent automation. As a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer, you shape exactly this approach and lead infrastructures technically soundly in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 (M365). You connect platform, identity, endpoint, and security into a coherent overall picture. Your standards set the benchmark for the entire Microsoft cloud. You critically evaluate new technologies and introduce them purposefully.

Responsibilities:

• You design identity and access concepts with RBAC, MFA, Conditional Access, App Registrations, and Enterprise Applications and further develop endpoint management with Microsoft Intune.

• Infrastructure as Code forms your basis. With Bicep, PowerShell, and APIs, you build reusable modules, standardised deployment patterns, and automated processes.

• You plan landing zones with clear structures for subscriptions, resources, and governance and refactor existing environments regarding security, automation, and costs.

• Furthermore, you design network architectures with DNS, routing, peering, and private endpoints and coordinate the connection to firewall solutions closely with the network team.

• For migrations from on-premises to the cloud, you take on the technical leadership and define best practices for cloud security and compliance.

• Additionally, you resolve complex disruptions across multiple technical levels and evaluate new approaches from automation and AI in proofs of concept.

Qualifications:

• You have at least five years of experience in engineering and architecture of Azure and M365 environments and have accompanied several transformation projects.

• You master compute, platform services, and governance in Azure as well as scalable landing zone designs.

• Bicep and modular deployment structures are part of your daily routine. With PowerShell, you reliably automate even demanding processes.

• Furthermore, you know Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Device Compliance in depth and consistently implement zero-trust principles technically.

• You are familiar with hybrid networks with VNets, VPN, and Private DNS. You understand firewall concepts, and experience with Fortinet is a plus.

• Moreover, you think analytically, communicate clearly, and derive well-founded architectural decisions from complex dependencies. Microsoft certifications, such as Identity and Access Administrator or Solutions Architect, complete your profile.
