You are responsible for the operation and further development of the IT infrastructure and manage physical as well as virtual servers, especially with Proxmox. You also ensure the reliable operation of central Microsoft services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policies, and optimise Microsoft SQL database clusters.
You take on demanding tasks in 3rd-level support and analyse complex faults in on-premises and GCP environments. With proactive monitoring, regular patch management, and targeted security updates, you ensure stable and secure operation.
You design and optimise network and security architectures with firewalls, load balancers, VPCs, and routing protocols. Additionally, you manage the internal Microsoft certification authority and are responsible for SSL/TLS certificate management.
You define technical standards for reliable and secure operation, develop guidelines for system hardening, naming conventions, and IP address management (IPAM), and keep technical documentation and operating manuals up to date.
You support smooth operation through your participation in the 24/7 IT on-call service, perform maintenance work outside regular working hours when necessary, and occasionally travel to holiday resort locations to carry out technical tasks on site.
Qualifications:
You have completed training in computer science at EFZ, HF, or FH level or hold a university degree in computer science, engineering, or a comparable field.
You bring at least five years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and/or IT security.
You possess solid practical knowledge in server administration, Microsoft infrastructure, virtualisation, and network technology, ideally with experience in GCP and Microsoft SQL database environments.
You work independently, analytically, and solution-oriented, enjoy taking responsibility, and take pleasure in sustainably solving complex technical challenges.
You communicate confidently in German and have fluent English skills. Additional certifications or experience in software development are a plus.
