Based in Saint-Imier, VARGA SA is a company active in construction, renovation and floor coverings. As a general contractor, we support our clients in their projects throughout French-speaking Switzerland.

Our ambition is to provide sustainable and meticulous services, tailored to the requirements of each project. To support our development, we are looking for an experienced, organised and committed foreman to strengthen our team.

Your responsibilities

• Prepare, organise and coordinate work on construction sites.
• Supervise teams and allocate tasks according to the schedule and priorities.
• Monitor progress, quality of execution and adherence to deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and current regulations.
• Coordinate interventions with the site management, subcontractors and other trades.
• Anticipate needs for personnel, materials, machinery and tools.
• Check deliveries and ensure proper use of equipment.
• Actively participate in work when the site situation requires it.
• Carry out surveys, daily reports and necessary checks to monitor the work.
• Promptly report technical difficulties, schedule deviations and additional work.
• Represent the company professionally to clients and partners.

Your profile

• Completed training in the building sector, ideally with a bricklayer’s federal certificate of competence (CFC) or an equivalent qualification.
• Foreman or team leader training, or equivalent experience is an asset.
• Proven experience in team supervision and site management.
• Good knowledge of construction, renovation and masonry techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret execution plans.
• Good knowledge of safety regulations applicable to construction sites in Switzerland.
• Organisational skills, autonomy and decision-making ability.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Good command of French, both spoken and written.
• Category B driving licence essential.
