Project Manager Building Construction (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF125,000 - 130,000Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Project Manager: Building Construction / Client Representation to lead significant municipal new build and renovation projects. You will represent the owner and client interests throughout all relevant project phases and manage investment projects in the multi-million range regarding costs, deadlines, quality, and risks. You will lead interdisciplinary project teams and coordinate the requirements of users, operations, planners, authorities, and political decision-makers. Another focus is on competition procedures, planner procurement, public procurement, and the long-term investment planning of the real estate portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Acting as client representative for demanding municipal new build, conversion, and renovation projects
Overall responsible management of projects through the relevant SIA phases from project definition to handover
Leading interdisciplinary teams of architects, specialist planners, experts, and external project partners
Managing and monitoring costs, deadlines, quality, and project risks
Coordinating the requirements of users, operations, clients, and ownership with the defined project goals
Preparing and conducting architecture competitions, study assignments, and planner procurements
Managing tenders and award procedures according to public procurement law
Supporting contract negotiations and contract management with planners and other project partners
Preparing project reports, decision bases, credit applications, and status reports for internal and political decision-making bodies
Conducting structured project controlling including cost forecasts, schedule monitoring, and target-actual comparisons
Contributing to investment and multi-year planning for the municipal real estate portfolio
Further developing project standards, client processes, documentation, and quality management
Qualifications:
Tertiary degree as Architect FH/ETH, Civil Engineer FH/ETH, Technician HF or comparable construction-technical qualification
Several years of experience in client representation or overall project management of larger building construction projects
Sound knowledge in construction project management, cost, schedule, and quality control
Good knowledge of SIA standards as well as Swiss contract and construction law
Experience with public procurement, competitions, and planner procurements is an advantage
Experience with public clients and political decision-making processes is an advantage
Very good German language skills spoken and written
