The Beaulac Hotel is a superior 4-star hotel with 116 rooms, ideally located on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel. The establishment offers a complete experience with its Lake Side brasserie facing the lake, its panoramic Waves lounge bar, as well as its conference centre.

As part of strengthening our Food & Beverage team, we are looking for an Assistant Maître d’Hôtel (M/F) on a permanent contract (accommodation possibility during the probationary period).
A true extension of the Outlet Manager on the ground, you participate in organising services, support the floor teams, and ensure compliance with the establishment’s quality standards. A hands-on person, you know how to unite a team while remaining attentive to our clients’ experience.

Service organisation & team support
- Participate in the preparation and smooth running of services.
- Check the room setup and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Organise and lead briefings before and after service to ensure good team coordination.
- Coordinate floor teams and ensure smooth communication with the kitchen and bar.
- Distribute tasks and support the Chefs de rang and Commis de salle in their development.
- Participate in the integration and training of new employees.
- Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment.
Customer experience & service
- Welcome clients and ensure their satisfaction throughout their experience.
- Advise clients on dishes, drinks, and suggestions.
- Contribute to sales development through a personalised and professional approach.
- Handle special requests and any complaints with diplomacy.
- Provide full service in the dining room when activity requires it.
Operational management
- Participate in monitoring orders, inventories, and stocks.
- Ensure proper management of equipment and service areas.
- Manage cash receipts and perform cash register closure according to current procedures, in the absence of the Outlet Manager.
- Guarantee compliance with HACCP standards, internal procedures, and establishment standards.
- Occasionally replace the Outlet Manager in their absence within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
Your profile
- Proven experience in a hotel, gastronomic establishment, or quality brasserie.
- Experience in a similar role, with initial experience in team support and supervision.
- Proficiency with the Micros cash system and ease of daily use.
- Excellent presentation and exemplary attitude.
- Natural leadership and ability to unite a team.
- Strong customer service and reception skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Autonomy, organisation, and anticipation skills.
- Attention to detail and constant demand for quality.
- Ability to manage unforeseen events calmly and professionally.
- Good knowledge of dishes, drinks, wines, and service techniques.
- Commercial sense and enthusiasm for sales development.
- Flexibility, availability, and professional commitment.
Languages
- French: fluent.
- English: an asset.
- German: a valued asset.
