Infrastructure Engineer Linux & VMware (m/f/d)
Our partner offers WLAN and Network Access Control solutions and software development. The strengths of our ROCKEN partner are the evaluation, planning, implementation as well as the operation and support of WLAN and Network Access Control solutions.
Role:
Server, storage, network: In the operations environment, every detail counts. In the role of Infrastructure Engineer Linux & VMware, you manage a mature infrastructure based on Linux and drive its technical development forward. Maintenance windows, upgrades and migrations are part of everyday life and fall under your responsibility. Additionally, you work on customer projects, partly remotely, partly directly at the customer’s site. Deep technology instead of routine.
Responsibilities:
You operate and harden the company’s own server landscape and continuously expand it.
You independently carry out system updates, configuration changes and release transitions.
Furthermore, you take on technical tasks in customer projects from planning to rollout.
You analyse and resolve complex faults in 2nd-level support.
In addition, you administer virtualised environments under VMware.
You also document architectures, create concepts and check technical feasibility.
Qualifications:
You have completed an IT apprenticeship EFZ or have equivalent qualifications.
You are confident in handling Linux and virtual server platforms.
Experience in network technology and classic system technology rounds off your profile.
You methodically penetrate complex issues and develop a clean implementation path from them.
Self-organisation, diligence and a reliable approach to customers characterise your working style.
In addition, you communicate clearly in German both orally and in writing, and you can easily read and write English technical documentation.
