Senior C++ Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Do you want to develop software where architecture, performance, and technical depth are crucial? This position offers experienced C++ engineers the opportunity to take responsibility for complex system components from technical conception to productive implementation and to have a real influence on software architecture.
Responsibilities:
Development of high-performance software components with modern C++
Building modular and scalable backend and system architectures
Implementation of sophisticated communication and integration solutions
Connecting hardware, network services, and technical platforms
Development of efficient interfaces for internal and external system components
Improvement of runtime behaviour, stability, scalability, and resource consumption
Technical analysis of existing software and targeted modernisation of legacy components
Development of automated test strategies for unit, integration, and system tests
Ensuring high code quality through reviews, static analysis, and engineering standards
Support of technical releases and assessment of development risks
Support in architecture workshops and technical decision-making processes
Professional guidance of software engineers and promotion of modern development practices
Qualifications:
Several years of professional experience as a C++ software engineer, systems engineer, or backend developer
Very good knowledge of modern C++ development with C++17, C++20, or C++23
Confident understanding of software design, data structures, concurrency, and memory management
Experience with complex backend, system, or distributed software solutions
Solid knowledge of network communication and modern API technologies
Experience with TCP/IP, UDP, REST, gRPC, and binary communication formats
Practical experience with CMake, Git, and automated build and deployment processes
Experience in performance engineering, profiling, and systematic debugging
Quality awareness in architecture, code, tests, and technical documentation
Independent working style with strong ownership of technical topics
Enjoyment in solving complex technical problems in a structured manner
