Apprenticeship as Cook EFZ (2027)

The Aarberg Hospital, with its broad basic care services, is an important regional service centre in the Bernese Seeland. Fresh meals are prepared daily in the kitchen for patients and staff. We also cook for a day school.

What to expect

• You will learn the preparation of hot and cold dishes, desserts, as well as the entire kitchen process: from ordering a meal to plating it
• You will receive foodstuffs, check their quality, and store them properly
• When steaming, sautéing, braising, and boiling, you can let your passion run free
• You will present all dishes appetisingly and serve them to guests with pleasure
• You will also have the opportunity to assist at various events

What you bring

• Secondary or intermediate school leaving certificate
• Completed trial weeks in the cooking profession
• Good physical condition and mental flexibility
• Creative, team-oriented, and highly responsible
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
