The Valais University of Teacher Education is a bilingual tertiary institution responsible for the professional training of teachers at all levels of compulsory and post-compulsory education. In connection with its training mission, HEP-VS conducts R&D activities and provides services for the benefit of school and educational environments.
To strengthen support for the institution's missions and to accompany the evolution of its organisation, we are advertising a position for Head of the Administrative Division (80 to 100%)
Your mission
Reporting to the Central Services, you will lead and develop the administrative division, a cross-functional unit providing administrative services and expertise to the entire HEP-VS. You will organise and mobilise its resources to meet the needs of the various institutional components, in a partnership approach with the professions. You will ensure the quality and continuity of services, support the division's staff and contribute to the improvement and transformation of administrative practices and processes. The division also provides administrative support services to the management.Your main responsibilities Lead, organise and develop the administrative division and its services. Manage staff, develop their skills and organise resource allocation. Support the various institutional components in meeting their administrative needs. Ensure the provision of the administrative services necessary to support management. Contribute to the simplification, harmonisation and transformation of administrative practices and processes. Your profile
- Relevant higher education in administration, management or equivalent training; additional management training is an asset.
- Proven experience in managing or coordinating complex administrative activities and leading a team.
- Ability to organise and mobilise resources in a cross-functional and evolving environment.
- Excellent command of office and digital tools; interest in improving and digitising processes.
- Local roots and bilingualism: perfect command of French or German and excellent knowledge of the other language, both spoken and written. English is an asset.
- Leadership, ability to structure and prioritise, service orientation, aptitude for collaboration and change, reliability and discretion.
