Role:

On behalf of a client, we are seeking a qualified specialist for execution planning and project management of demanding architectural projects in a design-oriented architectural firm. You will work on conversions, repurposing, and new build projects in both historical and contemporary contexts, developing architecturally high-quality solutions down to the constructive detail. The focus is on execution planning with Archicad 3D, BIM-supported project coordination, as well as the alignment of quality, costs, and deadlines. The position combines architectural design, constructive planning, and independent project responsibility with development opportunities in project management.

Responsibilities:

• Independent handling of execution planning for demanding new build, conversion, renovation, and repurposing projects

• Development and elaboration of constructive detail solutions for building envelopes, façades, interior fittings, and structural connections

• Creation and coordination of execution, working, and detail plans with Archicad 3D, taking into account design, technical, and economic requirements

• Building up, processing, and maintaining digital building models as well as applying BIM methods in architectural and specialist coordination

• Project management or gradual assumption of project management tasks from planning through execution planning to construction realisation

• Coordination of specialist planners, experts, and executing companies as well as integration of technical requirements into architectural planning

• Planning and implementation of conversions in historical building stock, considering existing building fabric, heritage conservation requirements, and contemporary uses

• Responsibility for quality assurance of planning documents as well as control of constructive and design implementation

• Participation in cost and schedule planning including monitoring of planning progress and coordination of project-relevant milestones

• Coordination with clients, authorities, and other project participants on technical, design, and approval-related issues

• Support during construction execution including clarification of execution details, plan adjustments, and architectural quality control

• Participation in architectural competitions and study commissions as well as development of concepts for demanding construction tasks in the tension between existing buildings and new build

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture degree FH/ETH or equivalent recognised training with a focus on architecture and constructive planning

• Several years of experience in execution planning as well as sound knowledge in construction, materialisation, and architectural detail development

• Experience in project management of architectural projects or corresponding project experience with willingness to take on further project responsibility

• Very good user knowledge of Archicad 3D as well as knowledge in BIM modelling and digital specialist coordination

• Knowledge of the Swiss SIA service phases and relevant building regulations, especially in the area of execution planning and realisation

• Experience with conversions, renovations, or construction projects in historical buildings as well as knowledge of heritage conservation and constructive requirements is an advantage

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for technical project processing, coordination, and communication with clients and specialist planners
