Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced Data Centre Engineer / Project Manager Data Centre Technology for the engineering and technical development of several data centre locations. You will develop standards and technical architectures for highly available, critical infrastructures and accompany infrastructure, system and customer projects from conception to handover to operations. The focus is on cooling and air conditioning technology, technical supply systems, redundancy concepts as well as testing & commissioning. Depending on the project, you will take on technical responsibility or full project management regarding costs, deadlines and scope of services.
Responsibilities:
Development and maintenance of engineering, design and installation standards for data centre infrastructures
Development and further development of data centre architectures, design guidelines and technical specifications
Evaluation, selection and standardisation of systems, equipment, components and technical products
Engineering of cooling, air conditioning and supply systems for highly available data centre environments
Development and review of redundancy, availability and operational concepts for critical infrastructure
Implementation of technical requirements within infrastructure, system and customer projects
Coordination and validation of technical calculations, dimensioning and specialist planning
Management of own projects regarding scope, costs, deadlines, quality and technical risks
Control and coordination of specialist planners, suppliers, system integrators and external engineering partners
Planning and support of FAT, SAT, functional and acceptance tests including complete documentation
Ensuring structured commissioning and technical acceptance of new systems
Coordination of the documented handover of new systems and equipment to data centre operations
Qualifications:
Degree as FH Engineer or Dipl. Technician HF with a focus on cooling, air conditioning, energy or building technology
Several years of experience in engineering or operation of data centres or comparable highly available technical systems
Sound knowledge in dealing with critical infrastructure, redundancy and availability concepts
Experience in technical project management as well as collaboration with specialist planners and suppliers
Good knowledge of cooling/air conditioning technology, commissioning and technical supply systems
Understanding of relevant Swiss and international standards as well as data centre standards
Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
