Role:
We are looking for a committed individual as a technical buyer for our client. In this versatile role, you are responsible for procurement and material supply and act as an important interface between project management, engineering, production, and assembly.
With your technical know-how and independent working style, you ensure timely and economical project execution.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for procurement within your projects and ensure that required materials and components are available on time for assembly, customer service, and spare parts business.
You plan material requirements, coordinate disposition, and monitor orders, delivery dates, and stock levels. In case of deviations, you initiate appropriate measures.
You obtain quotes, compare them in terms of cost, quality, and delivery dates, conduct negotiations, and select suitable suppliers.
You work closely with project management, engineering, production, assembly, and customer service and contribute to economical and timely project execution.
You maintain relevant article, supplier, and disposition data, optimise stocks and material flows, and support the further development of processes in the ERP system.
Qualifications:
You have a technical basic education with further training in procurement and bring several years of experience in technical purchasing, ideally in an industrial or project-related environment.
You have good knowledge of material planning and disposition as well as an understanding of production processes and manufacturing workflows.
You are proficient in using ERP and PPS systems as well as MS Office; knowledge of AP+ is an advantage.
You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner, show initiative, and keep an overview even in demanding situations.
You communicate confidently, negotiate competently, and enjoy working across departments and locations in a team. Your German skills are fluent at C2 level, and you also have good English skills at B2 level.
