Your mission
- Manage technically, administratively and financially the Road service (works, green spaces, roads, waste collection centres, collectors, wastewater treatment plants, forests, beaches)
- Supervise and support the team (10 employees), ensure its follow-up and promote a good working atmosphere
- Plan, coordinate and oversee all activities of the service
- Ensure the maintenance of municipal infrastructures, anticipate and prioritise works, in collaboration with the relevant municipal departments
- Prepare budgets, monitor construction sites and draft reports for municipal authorities
- Organise and participate in the Road on-call service
- Manage vehicle fleet maintenance and renewal
- Contribute to updating the land register by transmitting changes to the technical office
- Work closely with the plumber, the Municipality and other municipal services
- Represent the municipality in various bodies related to the field and participate in various committees
- Master and apply safety standards and legal requirements of municipal and cantonal regulations.
Your profile
- Foreman certificate or equivalent
- Training or experience in work management and site supervision
- Mastery of road maintenance methods and standards and ability to read and interpret plans
- Experience in a responsible position with personnel management
- Sense of organisation, responsibility and priorities
- Initiative and anticipation spirit, proactivity and versatility
- Leadership, interpersonal skills and strong interest in public service
- Driving licence B, BE, forklift operator and ideally M1 machine operator
- Fluency in French (spoken and written) and common IT tools
- Reside nearby (max. 30 minutes) due to on-call duties
