Financial Accountant with Professional Certificate (m/f/d)
Role:
In this role as Accounting Manager, you take responsibility for building, further developing, and structuring accounting processes in the retail sector. You apply your expertise in retail accounting to support the global retail organisation and ensure that financial reports are prepared accurately and on time. With your attention to detail and planning and organisational skills, you contribute to continuously optimising and professionalising processes. You will work in a dynamic, international environment where collaboration, personal responsibility, and entrepreneurial thinking are central. Responsibilities:
- You ensure timely and accurate monthly closing
- In this role, you review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
- As Accounting Manager, you prepare meaningful financial reports
- You ensure compliance with internal guidelines, processes, and local accounting standards
- In this role, you provide professional support and guidance to employees in accounts payable and financial accounting
- As Accounting Manager, you identify optimisation potentials in corporate accounting processes and oversee related projects
Qualifications:
- You have a completed degree in finance or accounting or a comparable professional qualification with relevant further training
- You have at least 5-7 years of professional experience in accounting or finance, ideally with experience in developing accounting policies and processes and preferably in the retail environment
- You have very good Excel skills
- You speak fluent German and English
- You work with great precision, can manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously in a dynamic environment, and bring curiosity as well as a continuous improvement mindset
- You are a strong team player yet work independently and responsibly, ideally with experience in international companies, cross-border transactions, and preferably with NetSuite
