Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional to lead demanding architecture and construction projects with a focus on the development, planning, and realisation of real estate. You will take independent responsibility for construction projects across all relevant project phases, combining design competence with technical and economic understanding. The focus is on concept development, feasibility assessment, project management, and ensuring quality, costs, and deadlines. The position combines architecture, construction management, and real estate consulting with diverse tasks throughout the entire real estate lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Independent management of architecture and construction projects from the initial project idea through planning to realisation and handover

• Development of architectural concepts and design solutions considering functional, technical, and economic requirements

• Preparation of property assessments, condition analyses, and feasibility studies to evaluate construction development possibilities

• Development of well-founded decision bases and project variants for investment, renovation, and development projects

• Responsibility for project planning and further design development of construction projects across the relevant SIA service phases

• Development of material, colour, and design concepts focusing on architectural quality, functionality, and long-term value retention

• Management of cost, schedule, and quality control including budget monitoring, scheduling, and control of agreed project objectives

• Coordination and leadership of external architects, specialist planners, and executing companies to ensure integrated project execution

• Close collaboration with internal site managers and independent support of construction projects during the realisation phase

• Organisation and leadership of project and coordination meetings as well as alignment with clients, authorities, and other stakeholders

• Consultation of real estate professionals on technical and design issues related to acquisition, development, renovation, operation, and value preservation of properties

• Support during construction acceptance, defect rectification, and project completion including ensuring complete documentation and orderly handover

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH/FH, further training as a certified technician HF construction planning or equivalent higher technical qualification with project management experience

• Several years of professional experience in architectural planning and independent management of construction projects in Swiss building construction, ideally related to real estate development or existing properties

• Solid knowledge in concept development, project planning, and technical assessment of real estate including feasibility analyses, property evaluations, and constructive planning

• Very good knowledge of relevant Swiss SIA standards, building laws, approval procedures, and planning processes across various project and realisation phases

• Experience in cost, schedule, and quality management as well as coordination of site managers, specialist planners, and executing companies

• Strong architectural and design understanding, especially for design, colour schemes, materialisation, and economically sustainable construction solutions

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for project management, technical consulting, and communication with various stakeholders as well as an independent, structured, and team-oriented working style
