Role:

Do you want to detect attacks before they cause damage? As a Security Infrastructure Engineer, you are part of a managed security team and protect the IT environments of various clients. Firewalls, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and log analyses are part of your daily routine. Here you encounter diverse infrastructures and a variety of threat scenarios. This way, your know-how grows with every project.

Responsibilities:

• You set up and reliably operate security components such as enterprise and cloud firewalls, WAF, and MFA.

• You keep an eye on alerts and security events, analyse them technically, and correctly classify them.

• In the event of security incidents, you participate in investigations and initiate countermeasures together with the team.

• Furthermore, you improve existing SIEM environments and log management and analyse log data from networks, servers, and endpoints.

• You conduct vulnerability scans, evaluate the results, and support rollouts, changes, and security projects in client environments.

• Additionally, you test new technologies in proofs of concept and maintain clean documentation of configurations, systems, and incidents.

Qualifications:

• You have at least 3 years of practical experience in cyber security engineering or in a security operations centre (SOC).

• You bring experience with EDR/XDR or NDR as well as solid knowledge of firewalls and web application firewalls.

• You understand network protocols such as HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS, and DNS in detail. You are also familiar with hardening Windows and Linux systems.

• In addition, you have routine in vulnerability management and an understanding of identity and access concepts with MFA and role-based access control.

• Your analytical strength is shown by your ability to consolidate events from various log sources, correlate them, and handle incidents in a structured manner.

• You also use Bash or Python to automate security tasks efficiently.
