Medical Practice Assistant (MPA)

The University Clinic for Haematology and Haematological Central Laboratory operates in the entire field of haematology. We conduct haematological laboratory diagnostics and primarily care for outpatients but also hospitalised patients with haematological diseases. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed, warm-hearted and well-organised individual as a Medical Practice Assistant (MPA).

What to expect

• Friendly and professional reception and care of our patients
• Organisation and coordination of consultations as well as efficient appointment scheduling
• Ensuring a smooth operation of the outpatient hospital service
• Support of the medical team in organisational and administrative daily tasks
• Management and maintenance of electronic patient records as well as careful documentation
• General administrative tasks, especially billing, correspondence and organisation
• Telephone support and coordination of concerns of our patients and referrers
• Close collaboration with the medical team and other interprofessional areas

What you bring

• Completed training as a Medical Practice Assistant (MPA) or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in healthcare desirable
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form, good oral French skills an advantage
• Enjoyment of direct contact with patients and a strong service orientation
• Friendly, empathetic and professional demeanour
• Independent, reliable and structured way of working
• Organisational talent and enjoyment of varied tasks
• Team spirit, flexibility and sense of responsibility
• Confident handling of common PC and MS Office applications
