Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for a qualified specialist for the planning and design of modern ventilation and air conditioning systems in a specialised Swiss building services environment. You will take on diverse tasks in CAD-supported ventilation planning with Nova-CAD, technical dimensioning, calculation and preparation of offers for new build and renovation projects. The focus is on coordinating building services systems, material procurement, cost control and ensuring high-quality and timely project execution. The position combines independent planning tasks with modern building services solutions and collaboration with specialist planners, project managers and contractors.
Responsibilities:
Independent planning and design of ventilation and air conditioning systems for demanding new build, renovation and refurbishment projects
Creation and processing of project, installation, execution and revision plans with Nova-CAD
Technical design and dimensioning of ventilation systems including air volume calculations, duct network dimensioning and pressure loss calculations
Development of ventilation and air conditioning concepts considering energy efficiency, indoor air quality and heat recovery
Calculation and preparation of offers, cost estimates and specifications for building services installations
Coordination of ventilation planning with the heating, sanitary, electrical and building automation departments as well as alignment of technical interfaces
Participation in project, planning and coordination meetings with clients, architects, specialist planners and contractors
Material procurement and material disposition including requirements determination, supplier inquiries, orders and deadline monitoring
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, material lists and project data using MS Office and ERP systems
Support of project management in cost control, scheduling and project administration as well as in the technical handling of construction projects
Quality assurance and technical review of planning documents considering applicable SIA standards, energy requirements and ventilation guidelines
Technical support during execution including assembly clarifications, plan adjustments and preparation of revision documents
Qualifications:
Completed vocational training as a building services planner: ventilation EFZ or comparable recognised specialist training
Professional experience in planning and designing ventilation and air conditioning systems, preferably in the Swiss building services market
Good CAD skills, ideally with Nova-CAD, as well as experience in creating installation and execution plans
Sound knowledge of ventilation technology, air volume calculation, duct network dimensioning and technical system components
Cross-disciplinary knowledge in heating and sanitary as well as coordination of building services installations is an advantage
Confident use of MS Office, especially Excel and Word, as well as knowledge of Abacus or comparable ERP systems is an advantage
Knowledge of relevant Swiss SIA standards and energy requirements as well as experience in calculation, tendering and material disposition
