Role:

Cyberattacks are becoming more sophisticated, and good defence arises from precise technology. Here you work as a Security Infrastructure Engineer in the environment of Managed Security Services and ensure the security of various customer systems. The focus is on Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), firewalls, and modern endpoint technologies. With each new environment, you get to know different architectures and sharpen your eye for threats. Personal responsibility and technical curiosity are required.

Responsibilities:

• You review logs from endpoint, network, server, and security systems and detect anomalies early.

• You thoroughly test new security technologies in proofs of concept.

• You configure and manage web application firewalls, network and cloud firewalls, EDR/XDR systems as well as MFA solutions and define appropriate security policies.

• Furthermore, you optimise existing SIEM solutions and participate in the investigation of incidents and the implementation of technical countermeasures.

• You accompany vulnerability scans, analyse identified weaknesses, and collaborate on changes, rollouts, and projects in customer environments.

• Additionally, you document systems, configurations, and incidents clearly and keep the records up to date.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in security operations or engineering of cyber-security solutions distinguish you.

• You have solid knowledge of security for systems, cloud, endpoints, and networks and master Linux and Windows security.

• You are proficient in log management, log correlation, and event analysis. This way, you link events across multiple sources into a clear picture.

• Moreover, you have practical experience with cloud and enterprise firewalls, WAF as well as NDR, XDR, or EDR technologies.

• You understand DNS, TLS, TCP/IP, and HTTP/S as well as concepts for identity and access management (IAM) with MFA and role models.

• Additionally, you bring experience with vulnerability scanning tools and incident handling and automate recurring tasks with Python or Bash.
