For our client, an established Swiss industrial company in the Winterthur ZH area, we are looking for an independent and technically skilled individual as an Electrical Designer Automation & Mechanical Engineering 80-100% (m/f).
In this role, you develop and create electrical schematics, circuit diagrams and technical documentation for machines, systems and automation solutions. You work closely with automation, mechanical design, assembly, commissioning and project management to ensure that electrical solutions are implemented technically cleanly, in compliance with standards and practically.
- Electrical design for machines, systems, controls and automation solutions
- Designing and specifying control cabinets, sensors, actuators, drives and control components
- Creating manufacturing and assembly documentation for control cabinet construction, wiring and machine installation
- Technical clarifications with automation, mechanics, purchasing, assembly, commissioning and suppliers
- Adapting and optimising existing schematics during changes, conversions or further developments
- Ensuring compliance with standards, safety requirements and internal design guidelines
- Maintaining project data, articles, macros and technical documentation
- Supporting commissioning, fault analysis and technical queries from production or service
- Experience in electrical design, automation, mechanical engineering or control cabinet construction
- Good knowledge of EPLAN P8, AutoCAD Electrical, Zuken E3 or a comparable ECAD system
- Understanding of control technology, sensors, drive technology, safety technology and control cabinet construction
- Ability to create electrical schematics that are clean, logical and production-oriented
- Knowledge of machinery directives, standards and industrial safety requirements is an advantage
- Structured, precise and solution-oriented working style
- Enjoy working with automation, mechanics and assembly
- Good German language skills in spoken and written form, English skills are an advantage

- Designing and specifying control cabinets, sensors, actuators, drives and control components
- Creating manufacturing and assembly documentation for control cabinet construction, wiring and machine installation
- Technical clarifications with automation, mechanics, purchasing, assembly, commissioning and suppliers

Profile
- Completed training as an automation technician, electrical planner, electrical designer, electrical installer with industrial experience or comparable qualification- Experience in electrical design, automation, mechanical engineering or control cabinet construction
