Role:
Modern cloud platforms emerge where architecture, security, and automation interact. As a Microsoft Cloud Engineer, you manage classic infrastructures in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 (M365) and shape the technical direction. Complex dependencies between identity, network, and endpoints excite you. Your decisions are well-founded, comprehensible, and designed for the long term. You critically evaluate new technologies and apply them purposefully.
Responsibilities:
You plan and manage demanding migration and transformation projects from on-premises to the Microsoft Cloud.
You design landing zones, subscription structures, and governance models from scratch. You analyse existing Azure environments and optimise them regarding security, automation, and costs.
Furthermore, you standardise Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Bicep, build reusable deployment patterns, and automate cloud and workplace processes with PowerShell and APIs.
You design identity and access architectures with Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, and enterprise applications and further develop endpoint management based on Intune.
You design hybrid networks with peering, DNS, routing, and private endpoints as well as the connection to firewall solutions, coordinating closely with the network team.
Additionally, you establish standards and best practices, resolve disruptions across multiple technical layers, and drive proofs of concept on security, automation, and AI topics.
Qualifications:
You have at least five years of engineering and architecture experience in Azure and M365 environments and have successfully supported several cloud migrations.
You are proficient in Azure compute, platform services, and scalable landing zone concepts.
Modular IaC structures in Bicep are part of your daily routine. You also confidently automate complex processes via scripting.
Furthermore, you have deep knowledge of Entra ID, RBAC, conditional access, and app registrations. Device compliance and endpoint security with Intune are familiar to you.
You are confident in VNets, private DNS, VPN, and hybrid architectures and understand firewall concepts. Experience with Fortinet rounds off your profile.
Moreover, you consistently implement zero-trust principles technically and derive clear architectural decisions from complex contexts. Microsoft certifications, such as Identity and Access Administrator, are a plus.
Benefits:
- Home office
- Attractive pension and insurance benefits
- Flat hierarchies
- Coaching and mentoring
- Flexible working hours
- Open corporate culture
- Comfortable office with modern infrastructure
- Experienced and dynamic team
- Attractive benefits in case of illness or accident
