Role:
In this role, you bring your many years of experience as a system engineer in Microsoft on-premises environments and think about infrastructure holistically – from architecture through clean standards to reproducible automation. You are responsible for the operation and further development of a powerful Microsoft on-premises platform as well as a Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment with high demands on service quality and customer satisfaction. You lead technical projects from conception to stable regular operation and analyse complex faults in 2nd- and 3rd-level support. Together with network and security specialists, you advance topics sustainably, actively shape standards, and consistently drive automation and standardisation forward. As a technical key figure in the IT services area, you share your knowledge within the team, ensuring a well-founded, high-quality further development of the platform.
Responsibilities:
- You design, implement, and optimise demanding Microsoft on-premises solutions
- In this role, you operate and further develop the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops platform including ADC throughout the entire lifecycle
- As a system engineer, you lead technical projects from migration through modernisation to successful go-live
- You analyse complex faults in 2nd- and 3rd-level support and resolve them sustainably
- In this role, you actively drive automation and standardisation with PowerShell and configuration management
- You define and document standards, solutions, and operational processes and work closely with the network, security, and smart workplace teams
Qualifications:
- You have completed an IT apprenticeship EFZ or a comparable qualification; further education at HF or FH level is an advantage.
- You have several years of experience as a system engineer in Microsoft on-premises environments with very good knowledge of Windows domain infrastructure, servers, and Active Directory.
- You bring solid practical experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops as well as ADC.
- You are familiar with identity and privileged access management (IAM and PAM) and work confidently with ITIL processes (incident, problem, change).
- You act service-oriented, work independently, and gladly take responsibility in direct customer contact.
- You have very good German skills (native or business fluent), ideally English skills, and a strong affinity for automation with PowerShell and configuration management.
