Infrastructure Systems Engineer – 3-year mission - 100%

Your role

As an Infrastructure Systems Engineer, you ensure the maintenance, administration and evolution of the critical infrastructures of the blue light control centre, located in the premises of the Fribourg Cantonal Police.

You guarantee the security, availability and reliability of the server systems as well as the associated services. You actively participate in maintaining operations and contribute to infrastructure modernisation projects in a demanding environment where service continuity is essential.

You will work within a critical environment with a strong societal impact, where the reliability of IT infrastructures directly contributes to the proper functioning of emergency services. This mission offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while participating in the modernisation of infrastructures essential to public safety.

Your mission

You are responsible for:

• Ensuring the administration, operation and maintenance of infrastructures.
• Guaranteeing the availability, performance and security of production systems.
• Administering Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
• Managing and maintaining infrastructure services such as Active Directory, PostgreSQL, Graylog and associated tools.
• Participating in platform supervision and handling level 2 and 3 incidents.
• Contributing to the design and implementation of projects for the evolution, modernisation and optimisation of infrastructures.
• Participating in containerisation and orchestration activities based on OpenShift.
• Collaborating with various technical teams to ensure the quality of delivered services.
• Documenting technical solutions and procedures during their implementation.
• Participating, as needed, in the 24/7 IT on-call rota (about one week every seven weeks), with an obligation to be able to intervene within a maximum of 30 minutes.

Your profile

• Higher education in computer science (University of Applied Sciences, University, ETH, federal certificate, federal diploma or equivalent).
• Proven experience in the administration and operation of critical system environments.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Windows environments (clients and servers).
• Strong experience in administering production solutions such as Active Directory, Graylog and associated services.
• Very good knowledge of server architectures, networks and cybersecurity principles.
• Excellent command of PostgreSQL and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Proven experience in containerisation and managing OpenShift platforms.
• Experience in an environment related to emergency services or "blue light" organisations is a major asset.
• Ability to occasionally lead technical projects and actively contribute to their completion.
