About the job
Audiovisual media are your passion and their long-term preservation is important to you? At the State Archive Lucerne, you take on a central role in preserving and indexing the audiovisual cultural heritage of Central Switzerland and also contribute to other indexing projects.
Your tasks
- With care and system, you evaluate and index AV collections in close collaboration with the responsible archivists.
- You competently and clearly answer enquiries about image rights, AV archiving and related specialist topics thanks to your communication skills.
- You assess the conservation status of the collections with a trained eye and carefully coordinate the necessary measures.
- For public relations, you prepare image material with a sense of visual language.
- You actively contribute technical understanding and initiative in digitisation.
Your profile
- You have a completed degree in history, art history or information science or a comparable qualification.
- You bring several years of experience in archival indexing, especially in the field of AV media.
- Whether independently or in a team - you feel at home in both working styles.
- Ideally, you have further training in the archiving and conservation of AV media.
- Knowledge of the Lucerne cultural scene as well as familiarity with local building and monument history are also advantageous.
