Job Description

The perfect apprenticeship for service-oriented all-rounders interested in information management!

In this training, you will be responsible for the following tasks in the library:

• Data management; preparation and communication of information
• Acquisition, cataloguing and preservation of media
• Advising customers on services, media and information offerings
• Supporting customers in their research and information retrieval

The training lasts 3 years and takes place mainly in the library in the main building on the Campus Centre. During the training, you will gain insight into another institution in the field of information and documentation through an external internship (e.g. in a public library or a documentation centre).

Profile

You appreciate dealing with customers and are interested in information technologies and electronic media. You inspire your customers with your openness as well as your service awareness and communication skills. Thanks to your analytical and systematic thinking and your sense of order, you always keep an overview.

You need a compulsory school leaving certificate for this apprenticeship and good grades in the following school subjects:

• German
• English
• French
• Spaces, Times, Society
• Religion, Cultures, Ethics
