Platform Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
As a Platform Engineer, you take responsibility for central platform components and actively shape the DevOps landscape. Container technologies such as Kubernetes and OpenShift are part of your daily routine, as is the continuous development of build and release processes. Stability, security, and performance are not contradictory to innovation for you but go hand in hand. You bring your experience to support development teams with containerisation and deployment and to gradually modernise the toolchain. Close collaboration with architecture and IT security is a matter of course for you.
Responsibilities:
You operate and further develop central platform components such as OpenShift, container registry, and monitoring solutions in an on-premise environment
You establish standardised build, test, and release processes and maintain them continuously
You gradually modernise the existing DevOps toolchain and manage CI/CD systems
You ensure platform stability and performance through proactive incident management
You also ensure security, compliance, and governance requirements in the deployment environment
Additionally, you evaluate new technologies and create technical documentation and best practices
Qualifications:
You have a completed degree in computer science, engineering, or a comparable qualification
You have several years of experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar role
You are well versed in container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
You have experience with CI/CD systems, ideally ArgoCD, Tekton, and Git, as well as with PowerShell automation
You are familiar with monitoring and logging solutions as well as container registry management
Furthermore, you impress with structured communication, analytical thinking, and very good German and English skills
