Geomatics Project Manager (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF110,000 - 115,000As a broadly based engineering and surveying office, our ROCKEN partner operates throughout Switzerland. The company offers consulting services around the core competencies of engineers and surveyors that go far beyond surveying and data collection. To strengthen the well-established team in the canton of Zurich, we are now looking for a suitable team member for the company.
Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Project Manager Geomatics & Surveying for the independent management of diverse and technically demanding geomatics projects. You will be responsible for projects from quotation and calculation through surveying and data analysis to project completion and coordinate customers, authorities and other specialist offices. Technologically, you will work in a modern environment with CAD, GIS, GNSS, laser scanning (TLS) and monitoring as well as specialised surveying and geodata solutions. The position combines demanding project management with technical scope for design and the further development of modern methods in Swiss surveying.
Responsibilities:
Independent management and coordination of geomatics and surveying projects from project definition to successful completion
Responsibility for deadlines, costs, quality and resources as well as ongoing project controlling
Preparation of quotations, calculations and service descriptions as well as economic assessment of new project enquiries
Planning and implementation of demanding engineering and specialised surveys using modern measurement and evaluation methods
Design and execution of 3D laser scanning (TLS), monitoring and deformation measurements as well as evaluation of the collected measurement data
Use and technical assessment of various sensors, GNSS, total station and monitoring systems, for example inclinometers
Processing and quality assurance of geodata with CAD, GIS and surveying software, especially Leica Captivate and rmDATA or comparable systems
Planning and support of evidence preservation as well as preparation of comprehensible measurement, evaluation and project documentation
Coordination and consulting of clients, authorities, planning offices and specialists on surveying-related issues
Handling tasks in Swiss geomatics and surveying considering relevant data models and standards such as DMAV
Evaluation of new measurement, sensor and geodata technologies as well as further development and digitalisation of existing work and evaluation processes
Qualifications:
Completed studies in Geomatics at FH or ETH level or a comparable higher professional education
Several years of professional experience in geomatics and surveying with experience in independent project management
Sound knowledge in engineering surveying, CAD and GIS as well as modern measurement and evaluation methods
Experience with laser scanning (TLS), monitoring, GNSS and geodetic sensors is an advantage
Knowledge of Leica Captivate, rmDATA, DMAV or comparable surveying and geodata solutions is an advantage
Experience in calculation, quotation and project controlling
Surveyor’s patent or planned acquisition is an advantage as well as very good German language skills
